The Spike Feed

This week we talk Legacy. Could Legacy survive if the reserved list were banned? We explore this subject. We also take a look at some Legacy deck lists, and both agree that a certain card from Miracles might need to get the ax for the next round a bannings. Cameron also "teaches" some kids to play against a Bitterblossom deck. Thank you for your honor.

What a crazy week. Not only do we get a possible new color for mana, the Chiefs (is that a football team) do well at the sport that they play. Also in news, our host, tournament reporter, and all around humanitarian, Mr. Curtis Nower reached the top 8 during SCG Kansas City's Legacy Tournament. Thank you for your honor.

It was kind of slow week for MTG news, so we get on the philosophical train and discuss the future of competitive Magic. Dustin and Cameron both dust off their MTGO accounts, while Curtis play tests Esper Mentor for SCG Kansas City. We also talk video games because there was THAT much MTG news. Thank you for your honor.

The three of us are back, and instead of celebrating, we get on the complain train. To swing this around we discuss Legacy, Standard, and Limited. There are some new Commander cards out, and we talk about their non-existent impact on Legacy. Dustin might, just might, play Magic one of these days... Thank you for your honor.

Due to some scheduling conflicts (editor's note: The World Series), we had to record our show in separate segments spanning two days. Cameron and Curtis go over recent tournament results and Van Halen's dramatic break up, while Dustin and Curtis go over SCG's recent announcement (Curtis calls it an email, but he's sleep deprived). Thank you for your honor.

The Modern man, myth, and legend Great Nate joins us this week as we go deep into the Modern format. Cameron wins his first Modern match post Treasure Cruise banning...(think about that for a second). Curtis for some reason drafts more of the insanity that is Battle for Zenidkar Limited. And Nate gives us his insights into what you should do to get into Modern. We also talk about Star Wars. Thank you for your honor.
