According to the Wycliffe Version of the Bible in Acts 8:11 it says that Simon the sorcerer made the people mad with his witchings. Not mad in the sense of being angry but mad in the sense of having lost their minds. The things he deceived them with  through his witchcraft made them crazy with them losing the ability to reason for themselves or to think sensibly. They followed him not only saying but truly believing that he was certainly sent from God! It would seem to be the same today in so many churches and among so many Christians. It's as though listening to certain people, newscast and online internet stories, some Christians seem to have lost their minds and it's all because of witchcraft in the church.
