So much of our time, energy and focus is put towards our body. 

The body is temporal and decaying everyday but the spirit is eternal.

Romans 12:1-2 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The spiritual leader is someone who is following God as well as influencing others towards that end! 

1 Thess 5:23  "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

We ARE a spirit. We HAVE a soul. We LIVE in a body.

Say this..

"I am a spirit. I possess a soul - a mind, will, and intellect. I live in a body. I am not a soul. I am not a body. I am a spirit. "

Don't become stuck in an intellectual mindset. 

Don't become locked up in your physical appearance. 

Live from within! 

We are not made to live from our intellect.

When man fell in the garden they were taken from a spiritual existence to an intellectual existence.

That was never God's original intention for man, we are created in His image and made to live a spiritual existence!

What is a Spiritual Leader?

A Spiritual Leader is someone who follows God... From their spirit. 

Sounds simple enough right? But it's not so easy. 

We have to be taught how to do this. 

Not knowing how to do this will limit you and I in our ability to carry out our assignments given to us by the Father! 

What is Spirit? 

The world has hopelessly misrepresented these truths. 

Proverbs 20:27 "The spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord,
Searching all the inner depths of his heart.
 

God is going to guide us in our spirits. 

He will illuminate Himself and His truth in our spirits! 

Man is a spirit. He has a soul. He lives in a body! 

Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

Wow! We look just like God and we operate just like God. 

John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

God is a spirit being. 

When He created us, He created us as spirit beings just like Him. 

When He created man He created a body that would house that spirit being. 

It would be safe to say that WE are NOT our BODIES! 

Our body is simply the house we live in. 

We have a soul- a mind, will, and emotions. 

But WE are NOT our SOUL! 

If you and I are going to successfully carry out the plans that God has for us then we will have to walk and live from our spirits!
