The Spoderpod

Space is here!

Yup, it's an anime movie.

furikuri

150 untrained lions, tigers, leopards, and other large dangerous cats living under one roof alongside humans. What could go wrong? 70 crew member injuries, hundreds of stitches, a case of gangrene, and one hell of a movie. Is it a thriller? A comedy? A plea for conservation? Whatever it is, there's certainly nothing quite like 1981's Roar!

Bzzz bzzz bzzz...

Ken deserved better.

Growing up in the early 2000's, it was hard not to be a fan of SpongeBob. Nickelodeon's longest running  - currently in its 12th season - and most successful show all started back in 1999 staring a strange yellow sponge and his equally strange world.  Does the humor and writing of that first season hold up 20 years later? It's been four months since Hog Wild '96 and the nWo has grown in both numbers and power; the Giant has joined their ranks, and Hall, Nash, and Hogan all hold championship gold. One man stands in defiance, a legend out to prove that Hogan wasn't the only icon in WCW; Rowdy Roddy Piper challenges Hollywood Hulk Hogan in the main event of WCW's biggest show of the year, Starrcade. Featuring matches between Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko, DDP and Eddie Guerrero, and Lex Luger vs the Giant, does Starrcade deliver its promise of "not being your typical warm, fuzzy holiday special?" Well, yeah, probably, it's wrestling. But is it any good? Tune to find out!

Due to various factors, we don't have a focus for this episode. Instead we decide to just talk about whatever, from Lesnar vs Balor, Aquaman's box office performance, and play a little "Disney or Not" with mediocre animated films.

Truth is elusive, it's nowhere to be found. What can be found, however, is this week's episode of the Spoderpod! The Persona games are a unique blend of JRPG and visual novel elements wrapped in a coat of Jungian psychology. What is the Midnight Channel, and why do people who show up on it disappear? Who's the killer staking the sleepy town of Inaba? Which song is better, "Reach Out to the Truth" or "Time to Make History?" J_Excellence, Ofi, and special guest, Ofi's sister, pursue the truth on these questions and more on today's Spoderpod!
