The Sports Budz are back talking football. We get together to share our thoughts on the NFL Draft and off-season moves. We start by discussing Bryce Young and the Panthers. We debate the ceiling and floor for Bryce Young and the Panthers. We debate some team-building strategies as well as talk about the future of the Panthers and the NFC South.

We touch on Bijan Robinson and the Falcons plan of consistently spending so much draft capital on skill position players. Chris suggests the bar for QBs is lowered and GMs are prioritizing competence over potential. He gives a shoutout to Josh Rosen and the Cardinals.

This leads us to the Aaron Rodgers to the Jets discussion. Nick and Chris both think the move makes the team better but were not certain if they would be a playoff team. Tony questions if Aaron Rodgers is still a good QB. We discuss the gauntlet of teams in playoff contention in the AFC, including the Ravens.

Chris shares his hesitancy about the Ravens ability to stay healthy with all the talent they have acquired. Chris questions how many games Lamar will play and suggests they will have to implement load management for Odell Beckham Jr.

Finally we discuss Jordan Love and the Packers, we are in agreement that the Jets and Aaron Rodgers will have a better record but we also agreed that the Panthers will be better than the Packers.

The SportsBudz are reunited for an NBA Playoff episode. Chris starts the episode claiming that the Lakers are not a good team. We then discuss the playoff matchups and share our picks. Nick is starting to drink some hopium after the Heat upset the Bucks in game 1. The injuries to Giannis and Ja Morant are discussed while we give our picks for who the most dangerous team is now if Giannis and the Bucks are no longer favored.

The Sports Budz are back to talk everything basketball for season 2 of "We Talkin' Bout Practice No. 5". Billings needs a break from talking about the NFL and all things Kansas City Chiefs related.

We then get into the Association and discuss all things NBA. We start with Billings' Nuggets and he shares with us his concerns about them fading down the stretch despite being the top seed. He remains concerned about Mike Malone and considers him to be the weak point. Tony expresses some doubt about them being actual contenders as well. Nick explains the difference in how his Heat team handled the national media and spotlight compared to how the Nuggets are handling it. 

We talk about the Heat and Nick wanting to undo the Kyle Lowry signing and how they've struggled to generate any type of perimeter scoring this season. Tony updates us with the status of his "dog ass" Chicago Bulls team and lets us know he's holding onto a 50-game stretch of basketball with a healthy Lonzo Ball from 2021.

We rescued Chris Billings from the dark abyss and forced him to talk about the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl. He lamented the discussion but ultimately shared his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs turning into a dynasty. Nick and Tony remarked about the Chiefs replacing the Patriots as the team to beat in the league and the "standard" all teams are looking to replicate. Tony explained why he thought the Eagles missed their best chance at winning a Super Bowl with Jalen Hurts. We share our thoughts on what this means for the rest of the league and what our takeaways were from Rihanna's halftime show performance. We then talk about what teams we could see making a run at the Super Bowl next season and discuss way too early futures odds.

Nick has returned from his hiatus, just as we lose Chris Billings to the injured list. Tony and Nick share their thoughts on the upcoming Super Bowl. We break down the game and discuss what a mean would mean for each team, who we like to win the game and why. We also talk about some of our favorite activities surrounding the Super Bowl such as prop bets, parties and Super Bowl squares. 

Tony and Chris get together to discuss all the news and notes of the NFL during Pro Bowl weekend. We discuss the Pro Bowl skills challenge and the future of the event. Then we break down the Sean Payton to the Broncos news, followed by  discussing the expectations for Payton, Russell Wilson and the Broncos. Tony talks about the Cowboys decision to move on from Kellen Moore, Mike McCarthy calling plays while sharing his thoughts on the state of "America's Team". 

We then share our thoughts on Tom Brady retiring again via sad farewell video uploaded on social media. We also discuss the QB situation in San Francisco with Brock Purdy's injury timeline. We got confirmation that Vic Fangio will the be the Defensive Coordinator for the Dolphins next season. We also talk about the Colts and Cardinals coaching situations and why they haven't hired anyone yet. 

Joe is joined by Chris and Tony as they try and make sense of what they witnessed in the AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and Bengals. They question the integrity of the league after watching the officiating shenanigans that occurred in this game. The events lead credence to Joe's earlier claims that the NFL is in fact "rigged" aka "scripted" for certain outcomes. We debate on if the league is in fact "rigged" and how impressive the Eagles have been, while Tony questions the Eagles due to their unimpressive schedule.

Chris is joined by Nick and Tony to recap some recent head coaching moves in the league before getting to the Divisional round recap and Conference Championship preview. We discuss the Panthers decision to hire former QB Frank Reich as their new Head Coach as well as talk about Nathaniel Hackett being hired by the Jets to be their new Offensive Coordinator. We share our thoughts on if there's a possible Aaron Rodgers connection to the Jets after the Hackett hire. We then discuss Demeco Ryans landing spots as he's the current leader for both the Denver and Houston head coaching jobs. If Ryans chooses the Texans over the Broncos job, Chris asks if this is an indictment on the Broncos organization or Russell Wilson contract? We touch on Brian Flores interviewing for the Vikings Defensive Coordinator job and then follow up with a discussion about Jim Irsay, Jeff Saturday and the Colts Head Coach opening. 

We recap the Divisional round by having Tony discuss what went wrong for the Cowboys in their loss to the Niners. What they can do to fix the problem and what their outlook should be moving forward. We share our thoughts on Patrick Mahomes playing through injury, leading the Chiefs to victory over the Jags, while recapping the Eagles dominant win over the Giants.  We discuss the Bengals dominant win over the Bills and Joe Burrow's ascension up QB rankings across the league. We share our thoughts on what went wrong for the Bills this season and what they need to do to fix their problems. Chris suggests Zac Taylor isn't getting the respect he deserves and should be in more Coach of the Year discussions. We debate how good of a coach Zac Taylor is before getting to our game picks against the spread. 

Our integrity filled host Chris Billings is joined by Nick and Tony to recap Wildcard weekend of the NFL playoffs. We discuss the Dolphins successful season with Tuanon cofounder Nick Kerr, who shares his thoughts on the team and Tua's future. We then discuss Lamar Jackson and the Ravens relationship and why we think it's headed for a breakup. Daniel Jones made himself a lot of money with his playoff win over the Vikings, we speculate as to what's wrong with the Vikings and if they can be fixed. We then talk about the Chargers epic choke job and Tony discusses the loss and why it's been so difficult to fault Justin Herbert for it. We share our picks against the spread for the upcoming Divisional playoff games.
