I said, I don’t think he’d go anywhere else other than going back to England because the only other option really seemed like with Tampa Bay, and it just seemed weird, but it’s 2020 and then Great San Diego buccaneers like 2021 Oh my goodness.

Originally the Falcons reported they want to do a trade instead of like whole free signing, but this had to happen. That’s why they were signed on why devonta Freeman was released. All of a sudden, and join us to iron this out. Mr. Jafar, you are back into the sports guys.

Santiago LeonWhat a crazy week Jeff obviously, you know, with Tom Brady, Gurley and things like that. There’s a lot of movement in the free agency world. It actually brought a lot To the sports world because it was completely dead last week. Let’s go into LA and Atlanta. You know, Todd Gurley one of the greatest running backs, well, not the greatest one of the best running backs in the league last year, not so much due to some injury concerns. What are your thoughts about him being released and now going to Atlanta.

Jeff FawverIt’s all about the injuries. When you look at Todd Gurley when he’s healthy, he’s one of the very best in the NFL. I mean, you could even make the argument that he’s the best in the NFL whenever he’s truly healthy. But the issue there is, that’s kind of a big, big if his knees apparently he’s been struggling. I don’t know if it’s arthritis or just various knee injuries. But the issue there is, if you don’t bounce back from that you’re just never going to be the same player. But I will say this in sports in general, whether it’s football or any sport. We have this follow the bouncing ball mentality. So as soon as the player has a down year or they’re beat up or whatever it may be, we push them to the side and we move to the new hot ticket. Right. We move on quickly. Todd Gurley, if and I again, I know it’s a huge lift. If he does get healthy. Todd Gurley is spectacular, and he’s only 25 years old. So if there’s a chance that he’s going to get healthy. It’s not as though we’re talking about 32 year old legs or 34 year old legs. We’re talking about a guy that’s 25 so if he can get his knees right, there’s still some miles on his tread there and he could give Atlanta a nice boost in the run game.

Santiago LeonThere’s some other speculation of other reasons the reasons why was LA to save money. Do you believe in that reason, or do you think is more like the injuries?

Jeff FawverI’m sure money played a factor. Li Li They went all in. They went after Ramsey, they resigned Donald, they had sued for a while he enter then all these huge contracts. So LA and went all in to try to win a Super Bowl. And obviously it didn’t work, but that’s what they were trying to do. And when you do that, when you go all in case all these big contracts, there’s repercussions. So the repercussions, you can’t keep on loving them, and you have to make some tough decisions. So I think Gurley was 100% healthy, if he was still the guy that he was when they signed the extension. I don’t think they would have cut them. They may have asked him to restructure and he

Santiago LeonWhich one? Yeah. Yeah. Which ones have you really significantly noticed?

Tyler TurnerWell, I mean, I think the one that I immediately well, several but the one that I immediately thought of was many people thought the Indianapolis Colts Colts were going to draft quarterbacks in the first round, but obviously, they traded out they took deforest Buckner from San Francisco 40, Niners in the 40 Niners out the first round pick. So that was a big one on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers obviously signing Tom Brady on they were possibly in play at number 14 and take you to take them out of it. Um, Jacksonville. You Well, um, well, Jacksonville Jaguars because they got rid of Nick foles could they possibly be open To take a quarterback and nine they also pick a number 20 was another one that I saw that I thought really impacted. Well, the Vikings added another first round pick. I don’t think that’s as much a quarterback because they signed.

Santiago LeonI do have a

Tyler Turnerteam. So once you’re done to an extension cord cousin to an extension, right? Um, yeah. Go ahead. You say something?

Santiago LeonYeah. How about the Chargers? Obviously, they were rumored to get Brady. They say tyrod Taylor. What do you think? I mean, and they have the sixth spot in the draft, of course.

Tyler TurnerWell, that’s the other side of the coin people that didn’t do anything. So so so you asked me the question who changed that maybe, like move them out or moved around. So if you want to go to the other side of the coin, which would be who didn’t really do anything that just leave them in position to take like for instance the Chargers didn’t get Brady they have not traded for Cam Newton or for jameis jameis Winston so you would think that possibly that just is leaving them in a position to take a quarterback correct on the same with the dolphins currently they didn’t do anything so salad leaves them in position to take quarterback course Bengals, they didn’t do anything so that would leave them in position to take quarterback. So I just think that’s kind of maybe more like chalk with those three. People always had those three taking a quarterback and they didn’t do anything that makes you not think they still would take a quarterback. Victor ArochoNo, I was shocked. I’ll be honest with you, you know, from from the beginning. I said that if there was a fit, I think he should go to the charges because the whole thing they were talking about, he wants to go west. And then it made sense that you know, he was gonna go to the Titans and I think Caillou mentioned that or Justin because they had a good running back. I was just thinking, why would they get rid of a quarterback I Tannenbaum brought him there. But because of rabl the tempo wasn’t even on my radar.

Victor ArochoI mean, I’m I’m happy that he’s in Florida. I get to go over there to watch him.

Santiago LeonI was thinking more chargers. Caillou, because, you know, he started a movie production company last week. And then you know, charges would have been a good spies from California. But then people were saying, well, he’s not much of a Hollywood guy either. What are your thoughts?

Caillou BordenI wasn’t really yeah, I wasn’t really thinking box since 97 shakes. They have a 387 win percentage 73.5% passer rating off 36% completion percentage, which is the worst at night to 77. So I wasn’t really thinking that he was going to go to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Those would be the Titans or

IngravenVidsYes and no. I think just as as football fans, we obviously I mean, they had only been talking about it all year. But we we obviously had the we knew that we know that there was a possibility that it could go down like Brady could actually leave the Patriots but at the same time, I was thinking like Ah, I just I don’t want No man I know Yeah, he sold his house and whatnot and I think that they may have been looking at houses in like LA or something and they were looking at a different school systems in another state I think in like Tennessee or something. But um, I was still like in the back of my mind like that’s that’s Tom Brady and the Patriots, that’d be really weird if that relationship ends. And but we all know. So it’s like surprising and not surprising at the same time. And now that it’s some It was one of those things where you can sort of like speculate on it, and you can have all these different clues that point towards it. But it’s still sort of a wake up call when you actually get an official announcement with Brady saying bye to to pass nation. So yeah, I guess it was more of a shock.

Santiago LeonYeah, Brady announced in his Twitter also Instagram that although my football journey will take me elsewhere. Caillou BordenI was very shocked when I saw it. I was like, What the hell is Bill O’Brien doing? I mean, since August the Texans have traded David Connie DeAndre Hopkins ranking of Julian Davenport. I mean, I was like very, very shocked to see it’s great for Kyler Murray. Now Larry Jr. no longer has to be that no one option. You still have Christian Kirk there, fellas very pricey. I was surprised because you just came off that devastating loss of the Kansas City Chiefs. And I was really surprised that I’m gonna see what does this mean for all? There’s this our quarterback deshaun Watson. I mean, we’ll Fuller’s in a number one. tk coupe isn’t another one. So what does this mean for the Shawn Watson as you lose a guy who’s I have 504 catches a second last five years 6590 receiving yards, which is second in the NFL in the last five years 46 receiving touchdowns. I mean, what does this really mean for watching if you’re going to really be affable bill Brian’s a general manager, I never felt like Bill O’Brien said that got the GM cited to begin with never like he was a great coach to start with. And now him as a GM is his shady business. I definitely think that raised a lot of eyebrows.

Santiago Leontoday. Justin, how good are the Cardinals now? Now with with Hopkins now they’re tagging King on Drake. Will they be a force in the NFC West?

Justin RileyWell, they’re certainly making a lot of noise to make us believe that they will be a force out there. This is absolutely huge. And this is definitely news I was expecting. I mean, I’m seeing a lot of notifications throughout the day. Never did I ever imagine you know what one of these deals a blockbuster deal will go down. It just it makes It makes perfect sense for Arizona who’s just trying to get better and try to get out of the cellar of NFL to be honest with you I thought you know in order to help the water see record they would they would you know, go via the draft to solve that issue. No, they decided to go with one of the best wide receivers in the league and get DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth round pick along with him. Now, he kind of got like, you had to kind of question the Texans and their their thought process here. They’re they’re not making very good decisions at all, like Holly said, yo

The Sports World resumes today, but not every sports league but one that is the biggest in America: The NFL. Business as usual as the NFL decided not to postpone business, and the NFL Draft is still on, but won’t be in Vegas.

Dallas Cowboys Franchise Tag Dak PrescottThe Dallas Cowboys have placed the exclusive franchise tag on Dak Prescott. The ultimate goal remains to have the quarterback signed to a long-term contract.

With the move, the Cowboys now have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal. If no deal is reached, Prescott will have to play the 2020 season on the tag and the sides can go through the same dance next offseason.

Amari Cooper going to be pursued for free agent

Devonta Freeman being released by the FalconsFreeman is being released after six seasons in Atlanta. The former fourth-round pick will hope to join a team in need of a veteran presence at the RB position. The Falcons meanwhile will need to fill the void left by Freeman, and currently the RBs next in line on the roster are Brian Hill and Ito Smith, both of whom are not accustomed to heavy workloads. Look for Atlanta to draft an RB and look at the free agent market for potential options at the position.

Santiago LeonSo guys, obviously what a week it started with the NBA. Justin, what were your first reactions when you first heard like the whole sports leagues are canceling

Justin RileyWow, man. It was just a week, man. It was a span of 48 hours. I mean, my gosh. You know, my initial gut reaction is it was overreaction. I think people were just in panic mode and just just making decisions based on emotion and not really logic. But has things began began to materialize, started becoming more and more serious. I was just blown away just of how quickly everything just came to a complete screeching halt. So it’s just it’s just a wild time and I still have yet to process.

Santiago LeonTy, How about yourself? I know that you follow this thing pretty closely. But what are your first reactions?

Tyler TurnerUm, wait, what Yeah, first I was. Yeah, first I thought I was kind of an overreaction. And I thought it’s kind of hysteria created by the media. And then I started listening. Well, first, I started seeing self kind of started Go down. And so, you know, the NCAA first was like canceling fans from attending and scats advance from attending the tournaments. And I was like, Well, you know, maybe media they’re like, well, like costing them money, so doesn’t seem in their best interest to start canceling stuff. And then one thing led to another and then all of a sudden you had the NBA Of course, the one night and canceled the games, and then all of a sudden the season and then I’m like, wow, this is pretty either drastic overreaction, or this is a lot more serious and I bought and then I started listening to a couple podcasts. I know that I forgot the guy, Michael Armstrong. I think it was on Joe Rogan. Um Dr. Fink I forgot his first name. he’s a he’s worked with core coronavirus victims out in Mount Sinai in California. There’s another guy from Mount Sinai. He’s on Fox News frequently and then they started kind of talking about it. And when they started really They go into detail on some of the, how serious it is how many people can get infected? How me the ratio of those who died and those get infected, and how fast it can spread. I was all of a sudden kind of changing my tune to believi

NCAA President Mark Emmert says NCAA Division I basketball tournament games will be played without fans in the arenas because of concerns about the spread of coronavirus.

Emmert said in a statement Wednesday he made the decision to conduct both the men’s and women’s tournaments, which begin next week, with only essential staff and limited family in attendance.

With a 73-57 win over Lipscomb on Sunday, the Liberty men’s basketball team won the Atlantic Sun Championship and clinched an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

It’s the second straight ASUN Championship for the Flames, who won their first NCAA Tournament game in school history in 2019. Elijah Cuffee and Caleb Homesley each dropped a team-high 16 points.

Ryan Christalast year, totally different scenarios, lives from two years ago. Before Liberty was in Phoenix, they they beat Florida Gulf Coast, you know, they, so they came into the league last year kind of top dog, they returned most of their whole team last year and kind of the consensus that they were gonna win the conference and they had a great year. You know, and then Liberty comes in, you know, as a second place team, and goes and you know, steals the show last year and canvas. And we all have a cloud Astro, you know, Liberty Hill, probably only a couple of things, you know, Liberty played well. You know, kind of the same focus this year.
