Santiago Leon and Justin Riley recap the Citrus Bowl between Michigan and Alabama.

No. 13 Alabama defeated No. 14 Michigan, 35-16, on Wednesday afternoon at Camping World Stadium to claim a Citrus Bowl win and end its season at 11-2 (6-2 SEC).

The win over the Wolverines was the Crimson Tide’s 39th bowl victory in school history.

Santiago LeonExactly. I did not have I did not have the sports cast mentality at the time. I was vacation down so which is a good thing. And then across the street I went to the other hotel and it was a Michigan fans hotel. So you saw a welcome Michigan fans Go Blue people were in there, you know, like their blue shirts, blue sweaters, and it was a different crowd. I could tell they were not as nice as the Alabama fans across the street though.

Justin RileyHow different kind of, I guess personality traits going on between the North and South there so yeah, definitely the South always a little bit more hospitable. But, you know, hey, as Alabama fans we always have a lot to be happy about.

Jeff FawverI think the lock up the number one seed you know the Ravens are playing awesome. They’ve been the hottest team in football for what feels like seven or eight weeks now to go through the stretch that they did not lose a game is pretty incredible. They played multiple playoff teams and they beat the niners, they beat the Patriots, they beat the Texans. They just they went through a really tough stretch and they didn’t have a single hiccup. And now these last two games are not give me so now they’re playing the browns and I get it the brown look like a mess right now. But the Browns did beat them early in the year. So I know things were a lot different than you know the Ravens didn’t have Marcus Peters and they were beat up in the secondary but the Losing games can always be funny. And then they finish the game against the Steelers in Baltimore. So I don’t think it’s necessarily a foregone conclusion. But if you had the, to bet on it, it definitely looks as though the Ravens will end up with that one seed. And they’ve earned it. I mean, there’s no doubt about that. You look at the schedule, they play it. They’ve earned it.

Santiago LeonYeah, definitely. The Ravens have really, really excited everyone this year. Lamar Jackson is in talks with the MVP. Do you think we’ll get it?

Jeff FawverAbsolutely. So if you look at the look at the definition of the MVP, it’s the most valuable player. So it’s not necessarily not his stats are great, but it’s not necessarily just about stats. You know, I think sometimes the MVP turns into a stat competition. But you know, the MVP, Most Valuable Player. If you look at the Ravens, if you took Lamar Jackson away from the Ravens, you know, any team that was, yeah, any team that loses their quarterback that’s a big deal, but the Ravens specifically Can’t imagine them

LSU quarterback Joe Borrow on Saturday won the Heisman Trophy, given to the most outstanding player in college football. He beat out fellow quarterbacks Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Justin Fields (Ohio State) and defensive end Chase Young (Ohio State) to hoist the 85th edition of the award at the PlayStation Theater in New York City.

Burrow finished with the largest margin of victory in Heisman history, as 1,846 points separated him from second-place Hurts. He also received a record 90.7% of all the first-place votes available and was named on 95.5% of ballots, another record.

I think we all have known for weeks, unless you just refuse to accept reality that Joe burrow was going to run away with this award, like you said, Man, it’s pretty astounding. I mean, in every category, he finished greater than 90% of was 9% of the votes. Who does that? Joe burrow. Oh, God has passed for nearly 5000 yards, and I think near 50 touchdowns. I mean, the guy’s just been incredible, man. It seems like every game he has stepped up to another level. And I don’t think that you could say he’s had a bad game this year. Unless you call passing up for under 350 yards a bad game, but he has been just stellar week after week and he is carried himself but an LSU to a promised land they hadn’t seen since 2011. So there’s no surprise here the biggest surprise to me or mystery of it all was it was finished number two, and like you said that was Oklahoma’s quarterback Jalen hurts you know 1486 separated the both of them just a wide wide margin. Santiago Leon and Justin Riley recap the SEC Championship Game, how Joe Burrow will be the Heisman winner in 2019, and update on Alabama players entering the draft or not.

The PAC-12 Championship. Oregon leapt out to a 20-point first half edge over No. 5 Utah, and then held on in the second half buoyed by the running of star running back CJ Verdell. Verdell’s 70-yard run, the longest against the Utes all season, gave the Ducks a two-score lead again and they held on to beat Utah 37-15 at Levi’s Stadium on Friday night. Giving them a birth to the Rose Bowl.

Facing the nation’s premiere rush defense, Oregon didn’t shy away from running it. They did just that on the game’s opening drive, and part of the success came with Justin Herbert keeping the ball on two occasions, a look the Ducks had rarely showed this season. Herbert ran for 22 on the drive, and from there Cyrus Habibi-Likio, Travis Dye and CJ Verdell took care of business. Verdell scored his first of three touchdowns on that drive to make it 7-0.

Tyler Turnerreaction was ewhat to say? It was. It was an absolutely terrific performance by Oregon. Obviously, Utah had so much on the line. The premise around the game was that it this is Utah’s chance. This is their chance to Make the college football playoff get the ball back to the college football playoff. And that was kind of what you were hearing mostly. Oregon, you know, obviously have lost to Arizona State and had their play out they dropped outside the top 10 at number 13. And so you definitely It was definitely built out as this is Utah’s moment. And you were here and really a whole lot about the docs know, and I felt that and you know yet we had at our podcast last weekend. And you know, it’s pretty harsh and I decelerated Justin Herbert after his Arizona State performance. He also had a pretty meager performance against Oregon State. The media It was definitely all the talk was centered was centered around Utah. And where they’re going to make the playoffs they want in Georgia last, they probably were going to get in. And you heard this whole narrative built around Utah, and you’re very little around Oregon. And they were kind of like the Forgotten man. Only two weeks earlier, they were in number five or number six was in the college football playoffs, and they were looking like, they’re going to get in until the Arizona state laws. Alabama gave up the most points of the Nick Saban era in a shootout loss to Auburn on Saturday, falling 48-45 to drop to 10-2 for the season. It’s the first time Alabama has lost multiple games in a season since 2013 and likely the first time it will not reach the College Football Playoff.

SEC Championship PreviewThe 2019 SEC Championship Game carries the most College Football Playoff implications of any title bout.

The No. 2 LSU Tigers are one step away from entering the playoff with an undefeated record alongside Ohio State and Clemson.

Yeah, you know, a lot of changes going on this year. A lot of discussion. But this you know, that’s what to the game iron bowl was pretty crazy itself. It was chaotic. I think everyone was talking about it on Sunday, most of the NFL commentators on the radio, and on TV, were talking about this game, and it was probably one of the best games of the season. How did you looked at it?

Well, if you’re not Alabama fan, and you’re just a fan of football, then yeah, it’s probably one of the better games of the college football season. I mean, lot of excitement a lot of just craziness, pure craziness things that you’re sitting there saying, did that really just happen? You know, it’s what a robbery game should be is a game that that truly meant something and like you said, yeah, this is something that was on the the mouths of everyone after the game and going into the next day even on NFL shows and because everybody is seeing this, the fall of Alabama on air by is outside of Tuscaloosa is rejoicing, thinking the Saban era is coming to a close. Well, I want to remind you guys that is is not over yet, but as far as well saw, truly just a mind blowing experience. Anytime we play it Jordan hair is just man, it’s a circus things happen that just aren’t the norm. And anytime there’s an all round victory, th
