Nick Saban is one of the best college football coaches of all time - no doubt. Still, Calvin thinks the Alabama legend caught an “L” for his comments yesterday when speaking at the World Games 2022 in Birmingham. Saban attacked the integrity of Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies program for “purchasing” the best recruiting class this year. Despite making some correct assessments on the NIL culture and its impact on college football, the loss came when he turned on Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders and the HBCU’s acquisition of the top high school recruit this year. Not a good look.

In MLB, pitcher Matt Harvey has been suspended for 60 games this season for distributing opioids as became public knowledge in the trial on the death of Tyler Skaggs. Calvin thinks this slap on the wrist is inexcusable on MLB’s part. The NBA Lottery took place last night and the San Antonio Spurs learned they will have the ninth overall pick.
