The organization shared today that assistant coach Dejan Milojevic lost his life to a heart attack. Assistant coach firings in the NFL often aren’t a big deal but can lend a glimpse at what team management is thinking. In Cleveland, three offensive assistants, including the offensive coordinator, were relieved of their duties, and Calvin thinks it is a sign of much bigger things on the horizon for the Browns as Deshaun Watson’s contract looms large. Moving a bit west, a report is circulating from TMZ that attributes what are recent health concerns for Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay to a supposed drug overdose that took place back in December.

This afternoon, the Indiana Pacers made an addition to their squad, picking up Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors in pursuit of building on their NBA Cup Championship appearance. Due to weather in upstate New York, the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers were flexed to Monday, and by game time, only the Bills were still flexing as they ran all over (and through)  the Steelers. Mike Tomlin wouldn’t address postgame questions about his future with the team, but calmed the waters with his players on Tuesday. In the finale of the weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles’ collapse continued against Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, creating more questions about last year’s NFC Champion.

There’s a fair chance that Mike McCarthy could be out as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys after his team was embarrassed by his former team. If he isn’t at the helm next year, the odds are already out on who may replace him. Kicking off the Wild Card, the Houston Texans got a big win over the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs froze the Miami Dolphins, and the Detroit Lions survived the Los Angeles Rams.

Over the weekend, the San Antonio Spurs got a key win over the Charlotte Hornets before falling short on MLK Day to the Atlanta Hawks.
