Well, the madness got started a bit early this year as two top programs - the men's #4 Michigan State squad and the women's defending champions #1 LSU - lost their first games of the season. In professional ball, the San Antonio Spurs also tasted defeat in the form of a 40-point beatdown from the Indiana Pacers, their second such loss of the season. Week 9 in the NFL wrapped last night with the Los Angeles Chargers defeating the New York Jets.
