We’re kicking off our 6th season at the Sports Peninsula Podcast!  The tradition continues as each season we open with our 1st Round NFL Mock Draft!  Everyone likes putting their General Manager’s hat and trying to predict where their favorite players land and hope their Team lands the next generational talent!  We look forward to this every year and 2023 is no exception!

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Quarterbacks!  This year’s class is more on par with what NFL fans have come to expect.  A lot of talented QBs that are grading out as day 1 picks.  The Lions at pick #6 could be poised to draft their future signal caller, or is Jared Goff now the long term solution?  We’ll talk about it next! 

We’re talking Boxing as we preview the much anticipated fight between Gervonta “Tank” Davis and “King” Ryan Garcia.  This is a non-title fight at a catch weight of 136 lbs.  We’ll break down the Tale of the Tape and give our predictions next!  

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Defensive Tackles!  This year’s class has great depth and absolute top 5 pick potential.  The Detroit Lions are certainly looking to make a solid unit great to match their talented Offensive Line because you win in the trenches.  Will the Lions take a DT at 6, or 18?  We’ll talk about it next! 

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Safeties!  This year’s class has depth and day one potential.  The Detroit Lions added C.J. Gardner-Johnson and will return Tracy Walker along with C.J. Moore to join 2nd year standout Kerby Joseph in the defensive backfield.  Will they look to replace Deshon Elliott?  We’ll talk about it next!

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Running Backs!  This year’s class is solid with some day one potential.  The Detroit Lions replaced Jamaal Williams with David Montgomery this past month.  Are they still in the market for additional backfield support?  We’ll talk about it next! 

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Cornerbacks!  This year’s class is loaded and the Detroit Lions prior to the Free Agency period were very much in play for a CB on Day 1!  After signing some prominent free agent Corners is CB still in play for the Lions on draft day?

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Wide Receivers!  This year’s class is not as star studded as the previous two seasons, but there is still plenty of talent in the group.  The Detroit Lions are likely not in the market now for a Receiver, but we will discuss if this group will impact the Lions on draft weekend! 

We continue our coverage of the 2023 NFL Draft Prospect classes as we look at the Linebackers!  This is a prospect class that has depth, but if the Detroit Lions are considering one of these prospects they may have to look at Day 2, or Day 1 for a solution.  We’ll give our analysis next!
