This week, we bring you audio from the Rim and interviews about the ride from the studio; the crew went to Crater Lake to Ride The Rim, a carless riding experience at Oregon’s national park.

Logan came to Portland and does a little bit of bicycling! He’s an organizer and a fun-lover – an inter-activator – and came in to chat with us a little about it all.

Aaron, Guthrie, and friends spent this weekend doing the Crater Lake rim ride in southern Oregon – they’ll share details of that trip later, and in honor of this we present Aaron’s first appearance on the podcast from 2011 in which he, producer Brock, and Adele share their thoughts on their grueling 2011 tour to the same place. See you next week for a new studio show!
This week we speak with Team Sincerity, the group of people who climbed several mountains with bikes and kids to get to Crater Lake, and all in the name of good fun. Aaron Flores & Adele Dittus join us in studio, and Adam & Jodie Rust phone from Seattle. We discuss: beer, soda, and pigeonholing, the origin of Team Sincerity, Warmshowers.org hosts Roger & May, road magic and generosity at Hobo Camp/Club Hobo, sickness and the hill climb from hell, Xanterra’s poor customer service, and many other things.
UPDATE 9/29/11: Photos from the trip, which should have been shared some time back!.

“Beaverton TC” is part of the upcoming Transit Suite EP, a collection of songs about Portland-area transit centers which will be released on Saturday, September 28th, 2019. We’ll be celebrating with a full-band show at the fantastic sounding Kelly’s Olympian (conveniently located just off the downtown bus mall) with the incredible bands Denim Wedding and Streetcar Conductors! You can order presale tickets here.

Producer Brock rejoins the crew in the studio to tell about his recent bicycle tour with his wife and 1 year old son on Canada’s Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island! And Guthrie’s friend Jonathan joins to share a little about his touring & photography (he shot the pictures for this week’s studio filmstrip above!).

Hosts are in summer mode (it’s not over yet) and so we’re bringing you an oldie. Aaron’s visiting his mom, so we thought it would be a good time to bring back an episode in which she visited the studio, and stopped counting swears. See you next week!
Today in the studio: Sara Dittmer, from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Portland. We talk comparative city life quality, regional disasters, and also talk shop about what one might do with their hair after a bicycle commute (Adele joins us by phone to clear up some thoughts that two dudes don’t have the experience to comment on).
Also: Aaron’s Mom also joins us! Aaron took Anna and his mom to the Oregon Aquarium.
