Chicago Fire FC has announced plans to move to the highly coveted property in Chicago’s South Looop known as ‘The 78’.  The 62-acre parcel of land had previously been considered a home for Amazon, a casino, a quantum campus, and the Chicago White Sox.  WGN’s Ryan Burrow talks with Chicago 3rd Ward Alderman Pat Dowell about the announcement, which came as a bit of a surprise to her.

The Mayor of Chicago, the Mayor of Arlington Heights and the Chicago Bears have all indicated that the focus for the future home of the Bears has shifted to the site of the former Arlington International Race Track.  WGN’s Ryan Burrow spoke with the Daily Herald’s Chris Placek about what that means for a timeline on a decision and what still has to be done before the Bears name their future home.
