They discuss the alarming amount of recent violence towards Asian Americans and what needs to be done to curb these attacks. 

Governor Newsom continues to appear around the state on a daily basis now, touting California’s improving COVID-19 numbers while using the events to fight back against the recall campaign.

He doesn’t mention the recall or address it directly, but he’s much more visible and accessible while painting an increasingly optimistic picture of the pandemic -- but the recall appears almost certain to qualify for the ballot now, with the election likely to happen this November.

A busy week in Sacramento was capped off by Governor Newsom’s announcement Friday afternoon that youth sports can begin to return in some California counties. This comes after state lawmakers announcement of a plan to send Governor Newsom a bill to reopen schools.
