In Episode 3 of The Steak Lad Experience, I was joined by my long time friend Max Pertzel. 

At the age of 21, Max was diagnosed with Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP), a rare cancer which impacts approximately 1 in every 1 million people. 

On his road to recovery there were a number of ups and downs that he experienced and it was incredibly powerful hearing the impact they had (and to continue to have) on his life. 

Today, Max is a shining light of positivity and works full time as a personal trainer in Melbourne. 

This was a truly insightful conversation and I would encourage anyone who has an interest in the power of the mind to tune in.

In Episode 1 of The Steak Lad Experience, I was joined by Australian Olympic/Commonwealth Games middle distance runner Luke Mathews. 

Luke and I were school mates growing up and I therefore have several fond memories of his utter domination as a junior athlete. 

We discussed his athletic career to date, future plans, mindset and the learnings from his 2016 Rio Olympics performance where he competed at the age of 21. 

In addition, we touched on his best memories from the 2018 Commonwealth Games in which he achieved a Bronze Medal.

The mindset of an elite athlete such as Luke is fascinating and I hope anyone that listens get's something out of his story.
