But for real, TLC and RAW were a fair bit of fun this week. We saw some decent wrestling, lots of storylines progressed, some ridiculousness went down, and they lit the fuse on the Survivor Series build — which looks to be everything we might want it to be (without going so far as to recreate 1998’s Deadly Game).

In the summer of 2016, Derek and Josh made a pilgrimage to Boyle Heights, California, to visit Lucha Underground’s Temple. It is exactly as you’d expect – a warehouse in the midst of an industrial district. A taco truck sat outside, as Believers gathered to worship the extreme violence of lucha libre.

The event took two days to record, and aired over the past four weeks on the El Rey Network. A LOT of amazing things happened, from a MOTY (2016? 2017?) candidate in Hell of War to a fantastic championship match to top it all off.
