  • The Steffan Tubbs Show - August 25, 2021 - HR 3
"... Look, I don't think it was a fai-- look, it was a simple choice, George.  When the, when the Taliban uh. . . let me back it, me put it another way. When you had. . . the government of Afghanistan(d); when you saw the significant collapse of the, of the Afghan troops we had trained; up to 300,000 of them just uh. . . taking off. That was, ya know, th-th-thats what happened! . . ." -- verbatim from the Leader of the Free World, President Joe Biden.
Is this an Orwellian or Huxleyan reality? Maybe a combination.
More on Afghanistan. We pride ourselves on variety, which is what this topic is, as it's changing daily.

On today's show: special guest, Afghan interpreter for the U.S. and NATO, "Mr. Sharifi."

Before moving to Commerce City, where he has lived for the past seven years, Sharifi was a journalist in Afghanistan where he also worked as an interpreter with the United States Military. Following the American troops’ withdrawal from Afghanistan and the rapid rise to power by the Taliban in recent weeks, Sharifi is concerned for Afghans who helped the U.S. military that are now living under Taliban rule. He is still in contact with many of them. “Most of the interpreters, they’re saying that they cannot even openly go out for shopping and stuff,” he explained. “Because if they go out, they would be traced and they would be followed, and they would be killed.”

Tens of thousands of Afghans are estimated to be eligible for a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV), which is reserved for people who worked with or helped the U.S. overseas. But as Sharifi notes, the process is often complicated and lengthy. Sharifi himself had to wait two years for his visa to be approved.

“SIV is a long process,” he said. “And by the time that they are going to be approved for that visa...the people will be already killed.”

In what hands has the equipment the U.S. left behind end up? How many U.S. nationals/allies are not only left behind at the airports, but in the rest of the country? What hand is really at play, and if it is what it seems, how could any country be effectively run by this incompetent administration? Every day, we are one day closer to the end of the world, it seems.
For our Homestretch Film Review of the Week: Bubba Ho-Tep (2002). A classic tale of Elvis Presley and an imposter JFK living in a nursing home battling undead Egyptian nightmares. Be sure to watch!
