Today's 5 Stock Ideas:

• Meta Platforms (FB) - Will report quarterly results on Wednesday after market close. Analysts expect earnings of $2.56 per share on sales of $28.2 billion.
• Ford (F) - To publish Q1 earnings Wednesday after market close. Keep in mind, General Motors (GM) will report its quarterly results Tuesday after market close. GM may set a precedent for the Ford report.
• International Business Machines (IBM) - Benzinga's chart of the day on Monday. Mark Putrino of Benzinga's Trading School noted resistance in IBM shares around the $138 level. The stock held above the $138 level on Monday and was up over the $139 level Tuesday morning.
• Lithium Americas (LAC) - A play on lithium. CNBC's Jim Cramer recommended taking profits in shares of Lithium Americas during Monday's "Mad Money" episode. Cramer said lithium companies are making way too much money and it "won't stay like that."
• Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL) - Shares closed down 36% on Monday, seemingly on no news. Avadel issued a press release Tuesday morning that highlighted the company was not aware of any new information related to the company's FT218 New Drug Application that would have caused the stock to move. Shares were up 40% Tuesday morning.
