Learn the basis of zero-knowledge, as used in dozens of crypto protocols (many valued at billions+). We'll also cover some more extravagant mathematical bases, namely groups which are of significant importance in security proofs. Though you might not work with security proofs in smart-contract development or investing, these tools are vital for core protocol development when brainstorming schemas. See some of the peer-reviewed papers from Cardano for a good starting point.
