• General Motors (GM) – General Motors CEO Mary Barra announced that the company will officially unveil the Chevrolet Blazer EV on July 18 with sales expected in spring of 2023.
• Coinbase (COIN) – On Tuesday morning, Coinbase announced a restructuring program to help with operating expenses. Citing a crypto winter and hiring too many people, CEO Brian Armstrong said 18% of the company’s workforce will be cut in the current quarter.
• FedEx (FDX) – Shipping and logistics giant FedEx announced it is raising its quarterly dividend from 75 cents per share to $1.15 per share on a quarterly basis. The increase takes the annual yield from 1.5% to 2.3%. The company reports fourth quarter earnings on June 23.
• Disney (DIS) – The highly anticipated “Lightyear” movie is set for theatrical release on Friday June 17. The movie features a same-sex kiss, which has faced pushback and over a dozen countries are now refusing to show the movie.
• MicroStrategy (MSTR) – Shares of MicroStrategy fell 25% on Monday as the price of Bitcoin collapsed. CEO Michael Saylor has previously said that Bitcoin hitting $21,000 could be the line in the sand for facing a margin call on the company’s Bitcoin holdings. Bitcoin briefly traded below $21,000 Monday night, which could put more pressure on the software company that often trades in correlation with the moves of Bitcoin.
