As we continue to experience and bear witness to the profound cruelty of this president, his administration, and the agencies they run, I am finding a modicum of peace in the understanding that the story is not over. We are in a really f*****g terrible part of it right now, and it’s nowhere near over.

As we move into this new year, I am as committed as ever to letting the voice of love guide me as much as possible, and to offering myself a lot of grace—and nudging myself back as quickly as possible—when I fall off the love train.
