The Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity at the Baruch College Zicklin School of Business presents "The Story of an Exposed Inside Trader" as part of Baruch College's Ethics Week 2012.

On December 8, 2011 Garrett Bauer pleaded guilty to insider trading, obstruction of justice and money laundering. His crimes spanned 17 years and brought in $37 million. Mr. Bauer now awaits sentencing for his actions. He will explain what constitutes insider trading, how he became involved and the scheme itself.

Mr. Bauer will be joined by Walter Pavlo Jr. Mr. Pavlo oversaw a $2 billion operation at MCI Communications before being caught embezzling $6 million. Mr. Pavlo is author of Stolen Without A Gun: Confessions From Inside History's Biggest Accounting Fraud - the Collapse of MCI/WorldCom and blogger for Forbes on white collar crime. He will provide the audience context for the recent spate of insider trading cases.

Michael F. Bachner, Bachner & Associates, P.C., joins the conversation.

Larry Zicklin, Clinical Professor of Business Ethics, Stern School of Business, briefly introduces the Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity. Donald Schepers, Director of the Center, makes the opening remarks.
