What a ride it's been. The New Year is kicking in, there's chaos around the world, and we're trying to make sense of it all by just playing the best music in the world.  In this episode, check out brand new releases from Alter Bridge and Megadeth.  We had a great Rock and Metal Time Machine, from Bowie to Newsted, ACDC to Mott the Hoople, all sorts to keep you entertained.  In The Diabolical Challenge, we looked at the 4 greatest grunge albums ever released.  Pearl Jam went through and will meet up with last week's winner, Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell.

Quite happy to see the back of it and we've got a whole new season of The Story Rock and Roll Radio Show.  Season 9 kicked off right here.  S9E1 still had the Immortals, the Diabolical Challenge in Rock & Metal Time Machine, but there are big plans this year to grow the listener base.  The Story of a Rock and Roll Radio Show is now exclusively on Bulldogs Radio. This show is on Thursdays, and a short one-hour turbo edition on Fridays. S8E50 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 18 December 2025 at 19h00 on Rebel Rock Radio and Bulldogs Radio.  This show marks the 8th anniversary of The Story of Rock and Roll radio show, and it is basically 'the story of' The Story of Rock and Roll. It was a lot of fun and covered major world and musical events. I had to try to cram eight years of life and music into three hours.  I went through the start at Mix FM in Midrand, the beginning and the end of Rebel Rock Radio, and all things in between.  I totally ran out of time. There were some amazing memories and some amazing music on this one. And a fitting end to Rebel Rock Radio. Make sure you tune in to Bulldogs Radio for all the live shows in future.

There was a super giant moon that is only going to be seen again in 2043, so we played a couple of songs for that. We had an interview with Funky Nature, did the Diabolical Challenge with 4 albums out of Germany, it was a jam-packed show and very entertaining. We also said a fond farewell to South African guitar legend Alistair Coakley, who sadly passed away this week. I hope the first person he meets at the great bar in the sky is Piet Botha, and the second is Lemmy.  RIP Alistair

S8E48 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 27 November 2025 at 19h00 on Rebel Rock Radio.  This was the first time I did The Story of Rock and Roll 3-hour Radio Show on Bulldogs Radio, so this is a landmark. Normally, I do the Turbo 1-hour edition on Friday, and the shows are quite different, so it was great to be on air in a new slot. I had a great interview with Vaughn Prangley live from Dubai, and we got the scoop on his brand new track ‘Monsters Den’.  Other than that, it was the usual fare: Twisted Triplets, Diabolical Challenge, Rock & Metal Time Machine, The Mutt Lange Commission, The Immortals, and the Magic Makeover.  A good time was had by all.
