Sara receives an Amazon package of new tank tops, but has no idea who they are from. This begins a process of Sara reflecting on her trusty beige tank top, and the things that make us feel safe, and the knowledge that it’s all the small moments that add up to what we call life.

When we have lived through difficult times, and we find something we like, we hold on to it and it helps us feel safe, good and whole.

For Sara, it has been her beige tank top. Whatever “thing” brings you comfort, whatever it is, reminds us of times when it was with us, and we can look back and remember we felt a bit safer with it by our side. And most importantly, we can often look back over how far we have come.

The tank top went with Sara to her first Ted talk in 2019, it’s gone to dinners, it’s gone on mountain climbs, and been through multiple human interactions. It reminds us that even in moments when we don’t know what will happen, the littlest things in life are what matters.

Whatever it is, is most important.
