On this episode of The Storytellers Podcast, Andrew Erwin sits down with actor Milo Ventimiglia for an honest, moving, and personal conversation about career, calling, and finding purpose through storytelling.
Milo reflects on the roles that shaped him—from the beloved family drama This Is Us to the fast-talking charm of Gilmore Girls—and how those projects prepared him for something very different: stepping into the world of faith-based filmmaking for Andrew’s upcoming movie I Can Only Imagine 2.
In a powerful moment, Milo shares the surreal experience of being on Zoom with musical artist Tim Timmons when he looked outside his Palisades home and saw smoke rising from the devastating Palisades fire that would ultimately take his house. Andrew and Milo dive deep into why I Can Only Imagine 2 feels different—why it’s more than just a sequel—and how portraying Tim Timmons on screen became an emotional collaboration rooted in friendship and authenticity. Milo discusses the responsibility of playing a real person, and how Tim's life reflects his faith.
This episode is about legacy, resilience, Hollywood, faith, and the moments that change us forever.
