If you like or love coffee, this is going to be a horror story, the perfect nightmare story for all coffee lovers.
Coffee is so deeply embedded in modern life that most of us never question it. It exists quietly in the background of our routines, waiting on kitchen counters, office desks, and café tables, almost invisible because of how familiar it is.
This episode takes us to the 18th century, to a place where coffee was not celebrated but criminalized, where cups were confiscated, where people drank in secret, and where a king became so obsessed with proving coffee’s danger that he ordered one of the strangest human experiments in European history.
