"Pain is the last thing to come and the first thing to go."
Evans Armantrading Jr. sits down with Dr. John Dabbs, a chiropractor with 30 years in practice, and Dr. Debbie Dabbs, a physical therapist and former competitive gymnast, from Eden, North Carolina. Together they run Eden Chiropractic, ProTherapy Concepts and NC REPS, and they've been a CNU Stretch licensee for about a year.
They geek out on how the body really moves: why pain is a warning light and not the problem, why everyone should get a movement check every six months like a dental cleaning, how an old ankle sprain can work its way up to the low back, and how a stretch therapist can tell when a client needs to be referred to a PT or chiropractor. Then they get real about the business side: what adding stretch has done for their practice, and why they like their patients stretched before an adjustment.

Can you learn stretch therapy online? Evans Armantrading Jr.'s answer: it's like learning to swim online. You can watch every video, study every stroke and even pass a written test. But you don't know if you can swim until you get in the water, with a coach who can watch you and correct you.
In this episode, Evans gives online education its due: anatomy, the science, terminology and the business systems from Episode 2 can all be learned through a screen. Then he breaks down the three things you can't learn on video: pressure and touch, reading the body in real time, and safety and confidence. He also walks through how CNU Stretch certification works, who it's for and who it's not for.

Most stretch therapists don't have a skill problem. They have a systems problem.
Two stretch therapists can be equally good on the table. One is chasing appointments and wondering how to make ends meet. The other has clients booking automatically, a predictable schedule and recurring revenue. Same skill, different systems.
In this episode, Evans Armantrading Jr. walks through the 5 systems behind a successful stretch business: Attract, Assess, Convert, Retain and Scale. For each one you'll hear what doesn't work, what does, what we do at CNU, and your homework for the week.

In 2020, stretch was a $13,000-a-year add-on in my business. In 2025 it did more than $450,000. In this first episode I tell you how that happened, including the three mistakes it took to get there: not understanding my value, overstretching people, and treating stretch like an add-on instead of a real business. You'll hear about my years in the Air Force, the client who started it all, and the three things every stretch business needs: deliver, convert and retain. Join the free Facebook group, The Stretch Movement, and tell us what you want stretch to do for your life.
In 2014 I started offering stretch to my personal training clients, and it changed my business. In this trailer I tell you how it started with a client named Tammy, who this show is for, and what The Stretch Movement is about. If you're a personal trainer, massage therapist, chiropractor or gym owner who wants to add stretch therapy to what you already do and get paid well for it, this is for you.
