Almost ten years ago today, the small country of Tunisia singlehandedly ignited what has since come to be known as the Arab Spring by deposing its long-reigning dictator, the late Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, and sparking a chain reaction of democratic uprisings throughout North Africa and the Middle East.

A decade later, what progress has been made in that country and what are some of the latest developments on the political scene in Tunisia, where a new president and a new prime minister are striving to steer the country in this time of pandemic crisis and dire economic conditions for many Tunisians?
