In this episode, I’m sharing one of my favourite topics, colour analysis and the science behind why it makes such a difference. I explain how colour is essentially light reflecting onto your face, and how finding the shades in harmony with your natural colouring can make your skin look healthier and more radiant.
I walk through the three elements we look at (undertone, value and chroma), and how your colours can transform not just your wardrobe, but your makeup and hair too. Most importantly, colour analysis isn’t about restriction, it’s an invitation to wear more colour.

What if getting dressed wasn’t about what you’re doing today, but about how you want to feel? In this episode, I explore the idea of dressing for a feeling, and how your style words and “feeling words” can become your North Star each morning. I share my own words (modern, classic and comfortable), how the pieces you love hold clues to the feelings you want more of, and why dressing for your real life, not a fantasy version of it, changes everything. Plus, how colour can evoke emotion and help you experiment with more joy and self-expression.

Do you find denim impossible to shop for? You're not alone, it's honestly one of my most asked questions.
So in this week's episode of the Styled Life podcast, I'm breaking down how to actually find your perfect pair and enjoy the process instead of dreading the change room.
Here's a taste of what we cover:
Why you should always start with the cut and why I challenge you to try one you'd never normally reach for.
The sneaky reason so many of us end up with five near-identical pairs of jeans.
Stretch versus rigid, choosing your wash and rise, and the movement test that saves you from buying jeans you'll never actually wear.
Why you should forget the size on the label completely.
Plus a few of my own denim confessions along the way, including how often I really wash mine.
Denim is one of the greatest staples in any wardrobe and once you get the fit right, it becomes the easiest thing you own.

That tricky in-between weather is here, not quite cold, not quite warm, and if you're in Melbourne, possibly all four seasons before lunchtime! In this episode, I'm sharing my favourite ways to dress for the transition from winter to spring, without buying a whole new wardrobe.
I'll walk you through the pieces that carry you through this changeable season, how to layer so you can add and remove through the day, and the simple trick of dressing for the whole day rather than just the chilly morning. We'll talk about easing into lighter fabrics and brighter colours, the quickest way to freshen up an outfit through your shoes, and why the answer is almost never more clothes, it's shopping your own wardrobe with fresh eyes.

We're checking clothing labels more than ever, but do we really know what we're reading? In this episode, I'm unpacking one of the questions I get asked most often as a stylist: when it comes to what our clothes are actually made of, which fibres are the best choice, for us and for the planet?
I'll walk you through the three families of fibre, from natural to synthetic to the semi-synthetic ones in the middle that trip everyone up. We'll talk about why so much of what we wear is quietly made from plastic.
Most importantly, this isn't about throwing anything out or feeling guilty about your wardrobe. It's about shopping with a little more clarity and intention, so the pieces you choose feel good to wear and last far longer.
If this episode gave you a new way to look at your wardrobe, I'd love for you to share it with a friend who'd find it useful too!

Three lessons that changed the way I think about style (and they came from an airport).
Some of you know my origin story, but here's the part I don't talk about much.
Before Styled by Gulinka, I was in management consulting, posted to Bangkok for 12 months and flying in and out of Melbourne every few weeks. Living out of a suitcase, in a city that wasn't mine, I completely lost touch with my own style. And in losing it, I learned exactly how much it mattered.
In this episode, I'm sharing the three lessons that season abroad taught me, the ones that eventually led me to this work, and that still shape how I help you build a wardrobe that actually feels like you.
If you've ever felt disconnected from yourself during a big life change, this one's for you!

We're back for 2026 and into a Melbourne winter! In this first episode of the year, I walk you through my seasonal wardrobe changeover: the exact process I use to make sure my wardrobe still reflects who I am, serves the life I actually live and makes getting dressed easier, not harder.
I share why I revisit my wardrobe every season, the honest questions I ask myself before letting a piece go (including my "wear it for a day" test — and the skirt it recently helped me part with!), and how to do a light wardrobe cleanse without the overwhelm. I also talk through why more clothes usually isn't the answer sometimes you just need fresh ideas for the pieces you already own.
Then we get into the pieces worth having for the season ahead: the coat, the jacket, your layering basics, and the boots that will carry your whole autumn/winter wardrobe plus how to tell when to invest and when to keep it high-street.
Whether you're refreshing your look or feeling a little disconnected from your style, this episode will help you step into another season feeling intentional, confident, and completely yourself.

In this episode of The Styled Life Podcast, we’re diving into the style mistakes we’ve all made—and how they can actually become powerful tools for discovering your personal style.
I’m sharing a few pieces I’ve recently let go of during a wardrobe cleanse—items I once loved (or thought I did) but never actually wore. From the chain-strap bag that weighed me down to turtlenecks and mini skirts that didn’t suit my lifestyle, each of these “mistakes” taught me something valuable about what really works for me.
Style is a journey, and every misstep is a clue. When you understand why a piece didn’t work, you can stop repeating patterns, make smarter choices, and build a wardrobe that truly feels like you. We’ll also talk about how to analyse your own closet clear-outs so you don’t just declutter—you learn.
✨ In this episode:
This is the perfect episode if you’ve ever stared at a closet full of clothes and thought, “Why don’t I wear any of this?”
