Bill and Miles explore the discomfort and chaos that comes with growth and stepping out of your comfort zone. We crave control and predictability, but the path to true stability come from walking into the unknown with eyes wide open.
Chaos, uncertainty, and the unknown are only “bad” when you make them bad. Instead, these can become your lifelong friends. But it’s not easy.
Let’s get into it.

Why We Seek, Even When The Answer Is Right In Front of Us (and what to do instead).
Many of us are addiction to overcomplication. We subconsciously obsess over finding new answers to the same old problems. We’re addicted to guidance but suck at remembering what we’re taught.
Your brain has huge blind spots.
Information is addicting (especially today with all the “learn how to make every person stop scrolling” tactics out there). But information is worthless unless retained, organized, and integrated.
95%+ of info is worthless to you at the moment you’re consuming it, but it will make you feel like it’s the only thing that matters. This is why coaches and online programs can make millions selling the most obvious information ever.
We crave new information or information organized in a new way, or told to us by someone new.
Your brain is hackable and these people are great at hacking it to make money. But at the end of the day, it’s no ones fault but yours. We have to protect out attention and energy at all costs.
Ultimately, breaking free from the seeking cycle, like anything, requires a gradual shift in mindset and habits. By taking ownership of your actions and committing to consistent effort, you can move beyond the cycle of seeking and start making meaningful progress towards your goals.

Navigating the Financial Landscape as a Creative with Hannah Cole (Artist, Tax pro, and Founder of Sunlight Tax).
Most creative brains aren’t skilled at taxes and accounting. Taxes often feel confusing, scary, and overwhelming, but they don’t have to. In the episode, we’ll share insights and advice for creatives on managing their finances and taxes.
Hannah Cole, founder of Sunlight Tax, is a tax expert who specializes in working with creative businesses and mission-driven solopreneurs. A long-time working artist herself, she’s helped tens of thousands of self-employed people skill up with accessible tax and money education, through her Money Bootcamp program, speaking engagements from Florida to Alaska, and on the Sunlight podcast.
Hannah is great at teaching taxes because she’s messed it all up, and been in the ‘bad place.’ She doesn't teach from a place of superiority or judgment, but from a place of understanding.
We discuss the importance of tax education for creative professionals. Hannah shares her journey of transitioning from being an artist to starting her own tax business. She highlights the myths and stumbling blocks that artists and freelancers often face when it comes to money.
Hannah also discusses the challenges of finding balance and setting boundaries between her artistic and accounting pursuits.

The Subtle art of not yelling....at yourself.
The voices in our head can get really loud. There's no shortage of opportunities for the internal voices to share unsolicited thoughts.
Where does the voice come from? Why does it get so loud? How does it impact your life and your work?
We share our experience with the voices and how we've managed to turn the yelling into a whisper - most of the time - so we don't get derailed.
This podcast is your weekly Creative Companion helping you master the inner game, finish what you start, ship your work, and build a brand without yelling; because it’s not the thunder that grows flowers, but the rain.
