Growing up as an only child in rural upstate New York I was very passionate about my schoolwork and sports. Important role models lead me to want to become a teacher. Went to college and majored in mathematics education and played basketball. Post grad became a high school math teacher and basketball coach. Up to that point in my life, everything I envisioned I succeeded at. Then I hit a season of experiencing heartbreaking losses and failures. My life became spiraling out of control, which caused me to look to a higher power for answers. Since then I’ve learned to embrace my failures and trust God as he guides my steps towards a life that’s more purposeful, loving, and fulfilling in using the gifts he has given me and impacting my life and the lives of people around me.

43 year old. I’m a Physician Assistant who is now the Associate and Academic Director for the Morehouse School of Medicine PA Program. Dr. Ard keeps it transparent because he wants to use his life to help other. People will always say they want to use their life as an example but will be hesitant to really let others know what is really transpiring in their life.
