About Suzanne Styles
Born in the United Kingdom, since age 8 Suzanne Styles has been finding ways to make money, from co-ordinating the delivery of newspaper rounds in her local UK village, to selling second hand clothes, to chocolates, to Tupperware, to make up and jewellery.
At age 15 she moved to South Africa but she did not finish matric, instead she found herself in a number of low paying jobs in various small businesses in and around Pretoria. She eventually found her niche in the Out-of-Home Media industry and was appointed as South Africa’s first ever female director of an Out-of-Home Media corporate company.
Ever the entrepreneur, Suzanne started her own airport advertising business in 2002 selling it at its high point a few years later to a listed company.Suzanne has spoken at many local and international events, her favourite speaking subject being: How to create something from nothing – the way of the enlightened entrepreneur.Her most loved quote is from Albert Einstein, it being: “You can’t solve a problem with the same mind which created it”.
Suzanne believes that entrepreneurs are made not born, that entrepreneurs are people who are constantly surveying the landscape of society, looking for opportunities to improve things, to serve others better and to make a handsome profit in the process.
