The Summit Church Denver

Title: Invisibilia: Barrier of Distraction

Speaker: Justin Almas

Text: Psalm 46

Summary: As we conclude our series about the power of "invisible realities" in our lives, we look at Psalm 46 and discuss the dangers of distraction and how to stop and experience God's healing presence in our lives.

We will never have our eyes opened to the beauty of Jesus if we are content to remain blind to the sinfulness of our sin.

The path to renewal leads to hope.

Speaker: Derick Sherfey

Text: Psalm 1

Speaker: Corbin Hobbs

Text: Psalm 79

Summary: As we kick off our series about the power of "invisible realities" in our lives, we discuss the dangers of cynicism and how to declare war on it through Psalm 79.

Text: Jeremiah 29:4-7

Summary: As we conclude our ten year celebration series, we talk about our original vision of being the people of God in the middle of the city, and how God has fulfilled what we asked for beyond what we could ever ask or imagine.

TEXTS: Matthew 5:13-16; Romans 1:11-12; Psalms 16:11

SUMMARY: Today we're going to reflect on and celebrate the fruit of presence in the life of The Summit over the last 10 years. Specifically, our presence in this city, our presence to one another, and God's presence to us.

Text: 2 Peter 1:3-11

Summary: As we celebrate a decade of ministry in the city, we give thanks for the way God has changed us — both individually and corporately as a church family.

Text: Ephesians 3:14-21

Summary: As we celebrate a decade of ministry in the city, we give thanks for the specific fruits that God has been kind to birth in our church. We talk about the power of God, and how the only explanation for our story is that God stepped in and moved.

This week we see how God delights in giving us sight for both physical and spiritual reality.

Matthew 20:29-34

TEXT: Matthew 20:20-28

SUMMARY: In this story Jesus asks two simple yet profound questions. A question that challenges us to acknowledge our desires and name them, and a question that challenges us to drink the cup of our lives in solidarity with Jesus by embracing the sorrows and the joys.
