Whenever we're entrusted with anything significant our natural response is to develop and execute a plan. However, when it comes to our most serious responsibility - our lives - few of us actually have a plan. We look at how Proverbs shows us how to have an intentional plan for our lives.

When it comes to knowing ourselves - particularly knowing ourselves to the degree that we're aware of our shortcomings - the truth is we'd rather not know. But we all know that just as there are consequences to forever-ignoring that rattle in the engine, there is a cost that comes with muting the voice of our hearts. Proverbs helps us look under the hood of our lives so that we can understand who we really are.

It's so easy for us to be blind to the consequences and choices that will bring harm on our lives. Fortunately, at the heart of Christianity is the belief that God desires to give sight to the blind through the Gospel, as His wisdom breaks into our lives. As we kick off our Proverbs series, we examine what wisdom is, how it can change our lives, and how we can have access to it so that we might truly live.

As we conclude our vision series to kick off 2014, we look at God's call for Christians to multiply their lives in the city, and how The Summit will strive to fulfill this call in the future.

As we continue our vision series to kick off 2014, we examine what it means to be a people who live for the welfare of our city, and see the chief reason why God has us living in Denver.

We kick off our first 2014 series by revisiting the vision and values of what has made The Summit successful in our first three years of existence. We begin by looking at what it means to be rooted in our city and the great gift of having a long-term vision for our lives.

Christmas gives us the confidence to believe in God more deeply, and nothing will make for a more fulfilling and enriching year than having a deeper faith and a greater confidence in who God is.

God speaks through Jesus taking on flesh and coming to earth. Despite our rejection of him, God gives us all a second chance to receive him through faith and have a relationship with him as his children.

It only takes a little life experience to know how uncertain life is because we control so little. We see how God becoming man creates certainty in our heads and hearts, and grants us access to the one Person in the universe who controls everything.

With all the parties, eating, and music, Christmas is the season that stirs our hearts and emotions more than any other time of the year. The danger is that all the festivities distract us from asking what Christmas really means. We look at how Christmas first means vulnerability, and how the vulnerability of God is such good news for our lives.
