The Summit Church Denver

As we kick off a new series, we get a glimpse into the heart of our church, seeing how Jesus changes the lives of people today to exist for the good of the city in which they live.

As we conclude our series in Genesis, we see that at the end of Joseph's story that he has been changed by the grace God has shown him in his life. In the same way, so should our lives be changed as well.

When God seems silent and life is unfair, we have a question to answer and a decision to make: How do we trust that God is actually present with us?

As we look at Jacob and his wrestling match with God, we see that his fight for change in his life is not only longer and more difficult than we could ever imagine, but also something we can identify with in our own lives.

We meet Isaac's very dysfunctional family, and in the process not only learn about the consequences of family dysfunction but also about God's redeeming grace for this area of our lives.

We look at God's call on Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice, and see a picture of the fruit in someone's life when they fully grasp the grace of God.

We look at Abraham's crisis of faith and tackle the question of whether faith in God is reasonable for us today.

We meet Abraham and in the process, not only see what it looked like for God to bring a call into his life, but also what it looks like for God to bring a call into our lives as well.

Like the Babylonians, we all long for a great cause to be a part of and a name to make great. God will graciously mess up our plans, though, and show us his cause and give us his name.

We look at how God will get involved in the world's brokenness in the story of Noah's ark, seeing how He brings both justice and mercy in His work to make all things good again.
