Mark concludes the first half of his book with a miracle that is also a parable about spiritual blindness. Mark has introduced Jesus as the Messiah, Savior and King and asks us the question, "Do you see clearly?"

Warnings are sometimes hard to listen to. Jesus offers a warning about ways of life that could distract us from the wonderful satisfying life that He wants for us.

Jesus is known for His unique interactions and this encounter He turns a powerful miracle into a personal meeting. The beauty is how Jesus knows exactly what this man needs and enters into the moment with him.

Mark tells a story of an unclean outsider who comes to Jesus and her interaction with Jesus displays faith and hope in the mercies of God in such a way that even Jesus is amazed!
