The UW Esports club (@UW_eSports on Twitter) reached out to the podcast to talk about their recent wins and some of the recent transformations it has gone through. From paying their way to a set of impressive victories, the UW leadership from Will and Tanner show how much fun and how much room there is to grow personally and collaboratively, in this intensely competitive scene.

This week, I talk to Bobby Belter, President of WSU Esports. The club is finding its feet and starting modestly. Every club has to start and it will be up to dedicated students like Bobby to make sure WSU has a path forward as well as a future in esports.

I look forward to being able to watch WSU grow and increase its competitive presence and create that scene in Pullman.

OSU feels like they're on another level for collegiate esports. The investment from the university, expansion of the programs and the students handling their organization with strong management tell me they're one of, if not the most, well structured programs I've talked to.

This week, I interviewed Jules Scott (@JulesRPG on Twitter) the podcast veteran. I realized outside of listening to a few podcast, I hadn't actually TALKED to anyone else who has run a podcast before!

Jules has hosted & produced multiple podcasts. Through podcasting, she has networked to create great opportunities for herself. Who better to learn from?

It appears to be a common story among esport athletes: play traditional sports, get injured and then take esports seriously. I don't know how much longer that will the case, but there is still an argument to be made for better treatment. Esport athletes put in 12-16 hour days of scrimmaging and then doing the solo stream grind to try and secure branding and a longer sustainable job because of the short time-span there is to be an esport athlete.

Highlights the size of a few collegiate esports clubs and how the first esport Egg Bowl tested the depth of skills in the community.
