The apostle Paul encouraged the Ephesians to be 'rooted and grounded in love' and to be 'filled with the fullness of God'. This challenging prayer is just as relevant to Christians today because the draw to settle for a comfortable faith is all too real. May we aim to grow and mature our faith in Christ instead.

"Between these two seasons of Bondage and Blessing is a season we will call Brokenness. I think this could be the most common season Christians find themselves in but it’s the least talked about.

Most people here are going through something devastating, whether addiction or grief, financial uncertainty or strained relationships, anger problems, or mental fatigue. See, most of us are here in the season of brokenness but we keep everyone else here on the surface instead or we post #BlessUp or #WontHeDoIt

Yes, have faith and believe in that blessing BUT don’t do that to the point you deny that sometimes God allows real brokenness. "

An important aspect of preaching Jesus is to understand the culture you are reaching and, at times, dismantle false philosophies and dangerous ideologies that are prevalent in society. Jesus did this as he debated Pharisees and Sadducees. The Apostle Paul did this as he faced various pagan religions and even Caesar-centered nationalism while in Rome.  

We are taking time to examine the modern heresy of Christian Nationalism and why this toxic ideology exists, how we can understand it, and how fixing our focus on Christ can free us from its deception.
