James encourages us to patiently persevere in times of trial and trouble. Like the farmer, we're called to work hard in the present and wait for a spiritual harvest in the future. Like the prophets, we're called to keep witnessing to others, regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be. And, like Job, we wait for the Lord to fulfill His purpose in our lives.

Our sins are great, but God's grace is greater! Instead of pursuing fulfillment in the world, we can humbly submit to God's leading, living in the promise and power of His grace.

As we fill our hearts with God's Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, God can use our speech for His glory and to speak life into the lives of others.

Genuine faith creates works. Works complete our faith. Good works in our lives is evidence of faith in our hearts!

As countercultural and counterintuitive as it sounds, Christians can actually experience joy in the midst of difficult experiences. In fact, God will often us trials of all kinds to help grow our faith and to make up more and more like Jesus.

The book of James offers a practical guide for Christian living. The instruction that James provides is intended to help us grow in our faith.

When life changes physically, mentally, and socially, how do we handle those situations?

The resurrection is what confirms everything else about Jesus. If the resurrection is true, then it's all true!
