I was really excited to talk to Jack from The Coaching Lab (https://www.thecoachinglab.org/) about his Matchplay cards! These cards give special powers or tasks to individuals or teams playing games in your PE program. They can be passed out secretly to players to give them new missions and levels to attain. There are also reflection cards that get students thinking deeper about the games they play. I absolutely love these cards and I know it will boost my questions and the understanding of my students. In this 2nd episode of my "Game Changer" series I discuss Alex Smith, quarterback of the Washington Football team. He was the QB for the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs prior to his short career (so far) in DC. The ESPN documentary I refer to in the episode is "E:60 Alex Smith: Project 11". It is fascinating, and chronicles his nasty, almost deadly injury and the comeback that followed. I won't spoil anymore, but check it out and take a listen!
