The Surrendered Servant

Welcome to the Modern Day Christian Chick Podcast where we examine everyday life through the lens of the Gospel - focusing on self care, encouragement, personal development and worship.

In this week's episode of our Worship Wednesday series we will be focusing on Making Room for God.

Happy New Year!  This week's worship song is Make Room.  It is my prayer that you make room for Christ in you heart and in your life. Move what you must aside to make room for Him.  May God bless and keep you throughout the new year and beyond.

You are loved,
Marsha Joi

Make Room - Lyrics
I find space for what I treasure
I make time for what I want
I choose my priorities and
Jesus you're my number one
So I will make room for you
I will prepare for two
So you don't feel that you
Can't live here, please live in me
I find space for what I treasure
I make time for what I want
I choose my priorities and
Jesus you're my number one
Yes Jesus you're my number
So I will make room for you
I will prepare for two
So you don't feel that you
Can't live here, please live in me
I will make room for you
I will prepare for two
So you don't feel that you
Can't live here, please live in me
I will make room for you
I will prepare for two
So you don't feel that you
Can't live here, please live in me
Live in me yeah
Please live in me God
I will make room for you
My will (you can move that over)
My way (you can move that over)
My ego (you can move that over)
My plans (you can move that over)
My schedule (you can move that over)
My itinerary (you can move that over)
See I, I will make room for you
My habits (you can move that over)
My attitude (you can move that over)
Whatever it is (you can move that over)
That's not like you (you can move that over)
Whatever it is (you can move that over)
You can move it over (you can move that over)
Oh see I will make room yea
Whatever it is (you can move that over)
That's in your way (you can move that over)
Whatever it is (you can move that over)
If it takes your space (you can move that over)
See whatever it is (you can move that over)
Oh I don't want it there (you can move that over)
Oh see I will make room
I wanna seek you first (you can move that over)
Get the odd things out the way (you can move that over)
I wanna seek you first (you can move that over)
Move it all out the way (you can move that over)
See whatever it is (you can move that over)
Lord I just want you (you can move that over)
Oh so I will make room yea
See whatever it is (you can move that over)
You can move it all (you can move that over)
Please just move it all (you can move that over)
Help me move it all (you can move that over)
Jesus I (you can move that over)
I just want you know (you can move that over)
That I will make room
I find space for what I treasure
I make time for what I want
I choose my priorities and
Jesus you're my number one

Moving Forward
Israel Houghton

Oh, hey, what a moment you have brought me to?
Such a freedom I have found in you
You're the healer who makes all things new, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead
Here to declare to you my past is over in you
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, moving forward, oh
You have risen with all power in your hands
You have given me a second chance
Hallelujah, hallelujah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, oh
I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead
Here to declare to you my past is over in you
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving
Not going back, moving ahead
Here to declare to you, my past is over in you
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, moving forward
Said I'm moving forward, oh yeah
Singing you make all things new
Yes, you make all things new and I will follow you forward, oh
You make all things new
You make all things new and I will follow you forward
You make all things new (you make all things new)
You make all things new (you make all things new)
Yeah, and I will follow you, said I will follow you, said I will follow you, oh
You make all things new (you make all things new)
Yes, you make all things new and I will follow you forward
Oh, I will follow, follow, oh, oh

You may feel as if you have been left out and forgotten but you are not forgotten.  God knows your name and that is everything!

Not Forgotten
Israel Houghton

Lyrics
I am not forgotten
I am not forgotten
I am not forgotten
God knows my name
He knows my name
Light over darkness
Strength over weakness
Joy over sadness
He knows my name
Father to the fatherless
Friend to the friendless
Hope for the hopeless
He knows my name
I will praise You, I will praise You
For I am fearfully and wonderfully made
I am not forgotten, never forsaken
I am not forgotten
I am not forgotten
I am not forgotten
God knows my name
He knows my name
Do you realize that you're alive
At the greatest time in history?
We are the chosen generation
We are the chosen generation
We're gonna change the world
We're gonna change the world

Lyrics
"Same Grace"
And after all that I've been through
I got a story to tell you
He wouldn't let the Devil consume me
Because God knew he could use me

God is no respecter of persons
What He's done for me
He'll do the same for you
God is no respecter of persons
What He's done for me
He'll do the same for you

'Cause He's given you the same grace
Lord has given you the same grace
Lord's given you the same grace
Same grace

God is no respecter of persons
What He's done for me
He'll do the same for you
God is no respecter of persons
What He's done for me
He'll do the same for you
'Cause He's given you the same grace

God's given you the same grace
The same grace
The same grace
'Cause He's given you the same grace
Same grace
Same grace
Same grace

There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God
There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God
There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God
There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God

There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God
There's a grace on my life
To release the glory of God
There's a grace on my life
