In part 2 of the review for the season 13 episode Hunting Ground, Jeff and Eli talk through the conclusion of what turns out to be a serial killer thriller. Surprisingly to nobody, the groundskeeper for a Hudson University wildlife preserve turns out to be a real weirdo and the closing and the gaping plot holes in the closing scenes only add to the excitement. The SVU Podcast: Characters Welcome is back for its first episode of 2018. This SVU episode also features the introduction of the untested rape kit epidemic in the country that has become an important cornerstone of the show's identity since. In this review of the Season 12 episode Behave with guest start JLH, Jeff and Eli talk through the first have of one of the most intense and iconic Law & Order SVU episodes. In additional to the full plot breakdown, the two also try and talk through whether or not cops have the authority to commandeer taxis in real life as well as try and figure out what a bridal shower is. The rewind, featuring favorite guests Sean and Taylor, introduces a new (yet to be named) segment where character lines are read as well as Jeff having to explain that breaking and entering is also against the law for detectives. In the final installment in the recap of the Season 14 episode Friending Emily, Jeff and Eli talk through the random string of events that somehow lead up to the squad finding Emily. The second half of the episode features Fin spitting game with strippers while on the job, unsurprising additional drama in the Rollins Sisters & Jeff love triangle, and Peter setting the scene for the compassion defense as he claims he wouldn't even hurt his girls on request night. Jeff and Eli are back to talk through the insanely bizarre Season 14 episode Friending Emily. This episode seems like the one of the only Law & Order SVU episode in which the super obvious creepy guy from the beginning actually turns out to be the super creepy guy. Viewers are also treated to the first appearance of Rollins' sister "Hurricane" Kim, Rollins' sudden ability to navigate through the dark web, and an investigation being led by a convicted felon. This review also features the first ever Rewind of one person drinking Kirkland lights and watching the episode alone while making comments. In this part two recap of the season ten episode Babes, Jeff and Eli go through the final half of the pregnancy pact that destroyed the lives of pretty much everyone involved. We are treated with one final scene from the scene-stealing Dizzer, a closer look into Mrs. Bernadi vying for the title of GILF of the year as she went with the "Just a Prank" defense in court, and a surprise twist from the crying chastity club leader Jesse McCartney whose only real crime was leaving Dream Street too early. Eli and Jeff are back and ready to discuss the Season 10 episode Babes. The episode begins with a charming dinner date between two young lovers is quickly ruined by a naked schizophrenic homeless man who runs through a restaurant on fire and without a penis. Even more shocking is the fact that this series of events transforms into an entirely new investigate surrounding what appears to be a pregnancy pact at a local high school. However, most noteworthy is the introduction of arguably the best side character in Law & Order SVU history in Dizzer - a local DJ with a talent for both wrecking decks and getting sex. This review also features the first live studio audience in the podcast's history as well as suggestions for how to always have an alibi. In the first half of this review of the Season 11 episode Shadow, Jeff and Eli take a dive into an early acting performance of Sarah Paulson. An episode that first seems to be about a wealthy woman whose parents are murdered transitions into a Lizzie Borden inspired crime and the introduction of one of the best characters in SVU history - Ash Ramsey (Naveen Andrews). Along the way Jeff learns that he is definitely not an art person, Eli learns what a red-collar crime is, and the two both learn that Benson is back on her bullshit.
