She shares with us her journey from Argentina to the United States at 31 years old, exploring the different cultural clashes and learning moments along the way.
This sparks conversation, where I share a bit of my Latina dating days, from Guatemala to Mexico, as well as an interesting story about the time I was called Maestro.
The rest of the conversation is focused around mental health. Ms. Zulma shares with us her journey of breast cancer, as well as how her work was valued in Argentina compared to the United States. We also discuss military mental health and different systems that should be implemented to make veterans and active duty members more comfortable about getting help. Ms. Zulma gets into how her job wasn't respecting her wishes, so she went and made her own practice, and designed it so that patients would stop seeing her when they were better, not when insurance stopped paying.
