Brenda Lilly, is the mother of Brian Lilly JR, the young UC San Diego rower who died by suicide at the age of 19 in January of 2021. Brenda shares Brian’s story in the hope of bringing guidance and resources to collegiate athletes and the parents, coaches, and teammates who surround them. Meg Willette is a licensed mental health counselor from Harvard University who works with student-athletes. Willette provides insight into her work and speaks about the issues surrounding the mental wellbeing of high achieving student-athletes.
