The primary pursuit of every believer is seeking the Kingdom- Pastor Bonga Mashazi

In this episode of the Character Development Series, Pastor Bonga Mashazi reminds us about the importance of aligning our lives with God’s influence rather than conforming to man-made cultures. It’s a call to prioritise God's Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, especially when navigating challenges or conflicts between our faith and cultural practices.

It challenges us to evaluate how our personal and communal practices line up with God's heart and mission.

Kicking off the series on character development, in this episode, Pastor Zandie Thwala’s message focuses on how believers can develop a character similar to that of Christ. She highlighted three tools a believer can apply in developing their character, which are renewing your mind, daily mingling with the Word of God and their deeds. When a believer’s character mimics that of Jesus Christ, that becomes a powerful witness to others, drawing them closer to God.

In this sermon, drawing from 1 Peter 2:9, Pastor Manga Lukhele challenges us to walk and operate from our priesthood and kingly position daily and in every space God has led us to. She says it is when we move and respond from the spirit, and not the flesh, that men who do not know God will begin to enquire how we do what we do, providing us an opportunity to minister to them about our God. Her call to us to resist blending into cultures that mock God's kingdom, is a challenge to stand firm in faith and be distinct in how we live, speak, and influence our surroundings.

Apostle Bheki Thwala’s teaching, "The Change of Mind," highlights an essential truth for believers: transformation begins with a shift in our thinking. He draws from Romans 12:2, which challenges us not to follow the patterns of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

He says we must consciously upgrade our thought patterns for us to manifest what is in the Spirit.

In this teaching, the Apostle’s call was clear: A changed mind is a changed life.

Fire conference Day 1-Apostle Bheki Thwala

In this episode, Pastor Zandie Thwala teaches a life-transforming word on awakening to truth and reality. She draws lessons from Proverbs 15:4, which compares the tongue to a tree of life. She explains that just as a properly nourished tree grows and is evident by what it produces, so too is our maturity evident by the words we speak. As believers, we are reminded that the day we learn to be responsible with our words, we will enjoy an abundant life.
