Lord, teach us to pray … this was the request that Jesus’ disciples made in
Luke 11. Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus teaches them probably the most famous prayer ever, known now as The Lord’s Prayer. Over the next few weeks, we’ll unpack each line of that prayer, but in this episode, we’ll look at the 7 words Jesus says before His actual prayer. Matthew 6:9 begins, “This, then, is HOW you should pray.”

We want God to work things for the good right now…
not later on & definitely not after this life!

But neither God or Scripture promises getting all we want or not missing out.
Life in Christ is life within the promise of renewal. 
But not all renewal will be seen in this life.

The resurrection of Jesus is THE foundation of the Christian faith. Something happened 2,000 years ago that fundamentally changed history. If it wasn’t Jesus’ resurrection, what was it? But if the resurrection is only historical & literal & believed in our heads but doesn’t reside in the depths of our beating hearts … well, this would be the greatest tragedy of all!
