Matthew 7:13-27. At the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus admonishes the crowds to avoid the deception of false prophets, so that judgment might not befall them unexpectedly.  Instead, He encourages His hearers to follow the narrow way that leads to eternal life by building their lives on the only sure foundation, the bedrock of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ezra 4 recounts the opposition God's people face as they follow God's commands to rebuild the temple and the wall. Godly devotion will bring worldly opposition. God's people can courageously withstand the enemy's attacks when we resist their opposition.
