Our strength is not enough, our joy is not enough, our burdens are too heavy, and our souls our restless. But, friends, we have a Savior, an awesome covenant keeper and steadfast and faithful God whose joy is our strength, whose burden is light, and who is the rest for our souls. As Saint Augustine says, "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”. Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His promises are true, His grace is sure, and His presence is constant. In Nehemiah, we get a glimpse at our faithful God who calls His people back to Himself, who provides grace in their failure, and who provides His joy to be their strength.  "for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). This is cause for celebration. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! His burden is light, and He cares for us, so let us come to the Table of Grace today and receive God's joy as our strength as we confess our sins, receive His grace, and walk in newness of life together in all circumstances!

God is in the Flame with us! Pain, suffering, loss, hardship, and waiting are real. Let's talk about it, but let's talk about it in light of Scripture. Friends, we serve a God, Jesus, who took on suffering, pain, loss, and sacrifice so that we do not have to walk through ours alone. Plus, going to the cross and rising from the grave has secured our hope in eternal restoration and redemption. In John 16:33 our suffering servant King says, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Our King has overcome sin and the grave so we need not fear the pain, trials, and tribulations that come in this life whether they be spiritual, physical, mental, circumstantial, relational, or emotional because HE has brought us life, peace, and HOPE! This podcast is all about the Hope of Christ and God's promise to be WITH us in our pain and suffering. We do not walk this alone. So, let us come sit at the Table of grace together and allow God to minister to our hearts as He promises to be with us as our anchor no matter what comes our way! I am so eager to share God's truth with you. May you be encouraged to rest in God's love and presence today!

In this episode, we tackle joy and the gift that joy is, as well as, how the enemy seeks to take away our joy. You will hear a few personal stories from me, but more importantly, we have the opportunity to hear from the Giver of Joy Himself through God's written word.

 We all have heard that comparison is the thief of Joy, but have we taken a moment to actually think about the impact of that statement. God sent Jesus to die and rise so that we could experience joy and JOY to the FULLEST! But, how can we receive that joy when our circumstances dictate otherwise? How can we receive joy when others have what we want? How can we receive joy when we feel less than or left out? How can we receive joy when nothing is going according to plan? Friends, Psalm 16 beautifully answers all of these questions, and, hint, keep in mind, JOY is one of the fruits of the Spirit so it cannot be received simply by our will power or our desire to have it. So, where does our joy steam from? Join me in discovering the beautiful gift of joy that overcomes any circumstance, that shines through any dark valley, and that persists when nothing else makes sense!

Friends, we are made to magnify and exult God's name together at all times, but how can we do that if we are fallen beings? This podcast seeks to answer that very question and encourage us to step into relationship with Jesus throughout our day so that we can walk out the magnifying life that He has called us to live. We do not walk this journey alone -- God has provided His Spirit to guide us and spiritual siblings to encourage us. God is worthy of praise because of His faithfulness and goodness to us. This goodness my not be physical, emotional, nor tangible right now for you, but know that the goodness that Scripture talks about is not material. It is GOD Himself. So, friends you are not alone in the pain, questions, struggles, fear, waiting, or lack, but you have a good God who is in it with you and has never left nor will He ever leave you. That is why He is so good! Because of this, His praise can continually be in our mouths. So, let's come to the Table of Grace together and dive into what is might look like for us to Magnify the name of the Lord and exult His name together as we taste and see His goodness in our lives.

Hi friends! Welcome to the Table where we get to sit together around God's table and be reminded of who He is and who we are because of what He has accomplished on the cross. His Grace is sufficient for us - ALL of us! My name is Sophie Kirk, and it is a joy to share the truth of God's word with you each Wednesday! I pray that you find rest, joy, and LIFE in Jesus either for the first time or in a whole new way. 

Today's podcast is all about surrender. Did you know that you were made for surrender? Our world paints surrender as weakness, as giving up, or as failing, but, in the Kingdom of God, surrender is actually where LIFE is found. Our humble King lived this surrendered life perfectly for us so that we could walk in His ways after Him. Jesus helps us understand this surrender in Matthew 16:24-26. Friends, our lives are busy and tend to keep us from seeing God, from spotting His faithfulness, and from resting in His love and grace for us. Our God desires us to know Him, rest in Him, and receive His love and grace each and everyday. So, not only did God send His Son to bring us back into relationship with Him and save us from our sin, but He also created the world around us to remind us of His presence, His love, and His faithfulness. Join me in seeing God's glory in the mundane. May we not let a day go by where we miss the presence of God in our lives because the veil has been torn, and we can now commune with Him. This podcast is in honor of my precious, beloved Papa who passed away this year. I never knew someone more filled with the Love of God, and he really taught all of us to see God through creation and to be reminded of God's deep love for us every time we would encounter different parts of creation which I will share more specifically in this podcast. Oh do I miss him, but I know he is worshiping before our Maker in God's FULL GLORY even now, "How good can it get?"!! Let's come and sit at the Table of Grace together as we behold the Glory of our God in the mundane today!

Friends, God has given us amazing truth in John 15 from the mouth of Jesus! We are the branch and that is a gift because we have a vine to abide in. Let us unpack what it looks like to be the branch. Let us understand how being the branch is a gift. Let us discover why resting in the vine is where life is found. We serve an amazing God who does not leave us to be the Lord of our own lives. Our Father sent His Son to give His life so that He could be the LORD of your life and mine! Let's come and sit at the Table of Grace together as we rest in the Vine today!

Did you know that you were actually made to be satisfied? Now, this satisfaction is probably not what is coming to your mind. We were not made to be satisfied by the standards of the world. Oh no, we were made to be satisfied in a much deeper and much more eternal way. Join me as we dive into God's word to more deeply understand this Kingdom satisfaction. What is the satisfaction that we are made for, how do we receive the gift of this satisfaction, and how do we live as satisfied children of God? We will dive into Matthew 5:6 as well as Philippians 4:19 to help us grow in understanding! Let's come and sit at the Table of Grace together as we rest in the satisfaction of our King!

Hi, my name is Sophie Kirk, and I am the host of this podcast! In this first episode, I am seeking to introduce myself, provide background to why I am starting this podcast, and giving encouragement about walking with Jesus through the ups and downs of life. This podcast provides us with sweet truths of our Sonship and Daughtership through King Jesus, and it reminds us of our place at the Table of Grace not because of something we have done but because we have been invited by our Savior King. I pray you are encouraged, spurred on to follow Jesus, and are reminded of God's deep and everlasting love for you!! We will be reading Romans 8:15-17! Be encouraged today!
