  • Boniwe Dunster,  AN HR Consultant

First Thing is First | Africans still struggle to call their bosses and older colleagues by their first names...A culture of respect of the elders'  and formality has been inculcated in us and addressing elders on a first-name basis is regarded as disrespect.

In an era of globalization, however, life in the corporate world is different from the normal life that people live in society and this is why there is likely to be workplace clashes on this issue

First Thing is First | South African children’s porn addiction crisis  The access that children as young as five have to smartphones and tablets feeds the addiction and has been cited as one of the factors that drives the ongoing cycle of sexual abuse.

    • These are the findings of a study by Unisa’s Bureau for Market Research’s Youth Research Unit (BMR unit), which has warned that some of the most shocking things that emerged from the research is that 35% of the children watch child pornography and 30% watch violent pornography. Nearly 65% also watch pornography between a man and a woman. They don’t really care that child pornography is illegal.
