    • The City says it is owed R7.3bn by township customers across its seven regions.
    • As part of its revenue collection campaign #TshwaneYaTima, the city says it is finalising logistics to pursue defaulting customers made up of residents, businesses and government departments whose accounts are in arrears.

     

     

    • Township customers throughout the city’s seven regions owe The City of Tshwane R7.3 billion with Mamelodi and Nellmapius customers incurring the highest debt of more than R2.1 billion.
    • This is followed by Soshanguve customers who owe the city over R1.1 billion.
    • They are also monitoring illegal connections.
